[Feature Removed] - Smartsuit Pro Bootloader Mode Process Guide

In this article:

This article is for users who want to learn how to use the Bootloader Mode process in Rokoko Studio. The process will help you when you encounter issues with your sensors.

Some sensors stuck in Bootloader mode

THIS FEATURE HAS BEEN REMOVED

Below, you can see that the sensors are in Bootloader mode (flashing green) and not shutting down.

Notice how the leg sensors are not flashing green (at the bottom of the picture). This means that those sensors are working as expected.

If the following process does not solve the issue, please send us a Hub Log as shown here to support@rokoko.com.

Extra Important

  • If your Smartsuit Pro sensors are blinking red, please do not try the Bootloader process below, but contact support right away!
  • Do not try this process more than 5 times. If you continue to have issues with the sensors after a couple of tries, please reach out to support.

Getting all the sensors in Bootloader mode

In order to fix the flashing green sensors that are not detected in Rokoko Studio, we will need to make them all flash green. In other words, we will need to put all the sensors in Bootloader Mode.

To do this, we have implemented an easy process in Rokoko Studio.

The Bootloader Process

  1. Open Rokoko Studio.
  2. Connect your Smartsuit Pro to the computer via the USB C to A cable provided.
  3. Power up your Smartsuit Pro using your power bank.
If you are using a Smartsuit Pro version I, you do not need to use a power bank. If you are using a Glove-ready Smartsuit Pro, disconnect the gloves from the Smartsuit Pro before powering it up.
  4. Go to the Device Manager and select your USB Smartsuit Pro device (Right-click on the image and click "Open in new Tab" if the image is too blurry)

  5. Go to the Firmware panel and click "Set all Sensors in Bootloader Mode".

After it's done, unplug and replug the USB cable from the PC and the power bank from the Hub.

  6. After the Smartsuit Pro appears in the Device Manager again, click the USB Smartsuit Pro device again and click "Re-install Firmware".

After it's done, unplug and replug the USB cable from the PC and the power bank from the Hub.

  7. Rokoko Studio should be detecting all the Smartsuit Pro sensors now!
