Rokoko Studio Preview 1.1.0 - Text to Motion

Build version 1.1.0 (Windows) / 1.1.0 (Mac)

Text to Motion is now available in Rokoko Studio Preview

Check out Sam's video for a tutorial on how to use and get the most out of this feature.

Note: This feature is still experimental, and we’re actively refining it. We’re sharing it early so you can try it out and have some fun exploring it.

How to Use

  1. Open or import a scene in Studio Preview.
  2. At the bottom of the clip list you will see a "Add Text-to-Motion Clip" button.
  3. Click it, and a pop up will appear with some usability information and a text field.
  4. Enter your prompt and click on "Generate" (arrow button). You can preview the animation in this pop up before importing.
    • You can re-generate a motion with the same prompt by clicking on the retry button or input a new prompt.
  5. When satisfied click on the "Import" (green) button to add the clip in your scene.

We hope you have some fun and as always, remember to share your thoughts and impressions. If you need any assistance, please join our Discord channel.

Known Issues

  • The smoothing filter is currently not optimized for Text-to-Motion generated clips. It will not have a noticeable effect when applied and can create artifacts.
  • Looping a text to motion clip that also has smoothing segments might create weird results like static sliding motion or spinning. For now, you might want to remove any smoothing segments when creating loops.

See Rokoko Studio Preview - Known Issues for an overview of all known issues.
