Overview

Rokoko Create lets you generate 3D motion animation from either:

  • A text description, or

  • A video clip you upload. (not currently available, but will be added soon)

This tool uses AI to produce motion data that can be previewed, and then sent to your Rokoko Studio account. It’s ideal for creating basic, short movement sequences (walks, idles, gestures) without needing motion capture hardware.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  1. A registered Rokoko account signed in to the Create portal.

  2. A text prompt or a local video file showing the motion you want to convert.

Opening Rokoko Create

  1. Go to the Rokoko Create portal in your browser.

  2. You’ll see the main input area where you can choose how to generate motion.

Generating Motion from a Text Prompt

  1. Select the Text Input tab in the main input area.

  2. In the text box, type a clear description of the motion you want. For best results, start with phrases like “A person…” followed by the action.

    • Examples: “A person walking forward,” “A person jumping,” etc.

  3. Press Enter or click Create to start the animation generation.

Tips for better prompts:

  • Use specific but simple descriptions (e.g., “sitting down slowly”).

  • Avoid overly long paragraphs — short, precise instructions work best.

  • Run multiple tries and tweak wording if you want variations.

More information on our Text-to-Motion tool can be found here.

Preview & Retry

Once you submit a text prompt or video:

  • You’ll see a preview of the generated motion within the portal.

  • If the result isn’t what you expected:

    • Click Regenerate Motion with the same prompt, or

    • Edit your prompt and generate a new version.

This lets you iterate until you’re satisfied with the animation.

Exporting & Next Steps

After you get an animation you like:

  1. Click Add clip to scene.

  2. You will be prompted to log in using your Rokoko ID email address so that the animation gets imported into your Rokoko Studio account.

  3. Use cropping, smoothing, and looping tools in those applications to refine your motion further.

Note: Rokoko Studio Preview has tools like smoothing and loops that help polish generated clips before export.

Edit, Export and Livestream from Rokoko Studio

Generating Motion from a Video

Currently, video input prompts are not available on Rokoko Create.

Instead, please use Rokoko Vision, which is our current tool for generating animations using video. More on Rokoko Vision can be found here.
