Update to the Locomotion Engine!

The Smartsuit Pro just got a major performance upgrade with the release of Rokoko Studio 2.5. Watch our launch video to see how the new locomotion engine works and performs in action.

New features

Locomotion Update

• The new Locomotion filter only works in post-process for now. You will see its full potential after the recording is post-processed and not while in live mode or during a recording.
• The new Locomotion filter will be on by default on new recordings but you have the choice to use the old one by enabling the "Legacy Locomotion" in the actor filters section.
• When turning on/off the "Legacy Locomotion" option, you should also "Revert to the original values" so the foot-locks are re-generated based on the selected filter.
• Old recordings will not be re-processed with this update by default in order to avoid reverting any of your previous cleanup work.
  You can update old recordings using the new filter by disabling the "Legacy Locomotion" option in the actor filters section and clicking on the "Revert to original values" button on the timeline.
  NOTE: New foot-locks will be generated so you will lose any cleanup that was previously done.
• NOTE: Scenes containing clips using the new Locomotion are not accessible in Studio Preview at this moment. An update of Preview is around the corner that will make this possible.

Timeline and foot-lock editing

• Split Segment: You can now split a segment in the middle. Right click on top of a segment and choose the "Split Segment" option.
• Fill Segment: You can fill spaces between segments. Right click on an empty space and choose the "Fill Segment" option. This will merge the segments left and right of the selected space by filling the in-between empty space.

Improvements

Device Manager

• Added an additional notification, prompting to setup the device when it's connected via USB but not yet connected via Wi-Fi.
• Changed the connection type colors to make them more noticeable.
• Added a help article link to help people that don't see their device showing up after the Wi-Fi setup.

Fixed issues

• Fixed an issue with illegal characters in sequence errors. Mostly affecting domain names with non ASCII characters.
• General fixes.

• Fixed an issue where post-processing did not complete for some coil clips.
