Troubleshooting suggestions when your 5GHz WiFi network cannot be found in Rokoko Studio
In the Device Manager, when applying the WiFi settings, Studio will scan for all available networks. If Rokoko Studio can see WiFi networks but not your 5Ghz network in Rokoko Studio, here is what you can try to do:
- Change the transmission channel of the 5GHz network to channel 36 (please consult your router's manual on how to do so. Below is an example screenshot of an Asus router).
- If you are using Dual Band (that is a single Wifi name for both frequencies 2.4 and 5 GHz) try to disable Band Steering (also called Smart Connect on some routers) and create two Wifi networks, one for 2.4 and one for 5GHz. This will resolve your issue.
As per this article, only specific channels work with the Rokoko Smartgloves. In most cases, this is usually resolved by switching the router channel of the 5GHz frequency to 36.
